The National ICT Olympiad is a competition designed to drive the student’s interest towards education and information and communication technology. The programme aims to develop a new generation of skilled young Nigerians that would have an impact on the nations human capital development index
The competition aims to develop and improve the ICT capacity of the students through training, mentorship and competition. Competition drives innovation and the students are being encouraged to innovate and create.
By adopting a catch them young approach, the young generation can be moulded into future business leaders and a generation of skilled workforce.
The Olympiad has been designed to train, empower and enlighten an average of 3,000 students a year through the Olympiad boot camp.
The students participating in the competition are encouraged to innovate and use ICT to solve societal problems; solutions developed would be encouraged through the Olympiad mentorship programme to become sustainable businesses
The Olympiad aims to enlighten a minimum of 10,000 students per year throughout the country. The enlightenment would be through participation from the 1st stage to the national finals.
